- SharpGrade dual blade box graders come in a range of widths starting at 1.5m wide then 1.6m, 1.8m, 2.0m and 2.2m.
- Other widths are available as bespoke builds.
- They are primarily designed to work with Tracked Skidsteer Loaders or Articulated Compact Wheeled Loaders.
- The minimum horsepower required is in the 20-40HP range through to 80-120HP for the larger models.
Patented “quadrod” linkage: Most rigid and accurate in class with sealed, shielded and lifetime lubricated bearings, means you never need to grease the equipment.
Retracting Front Wheels: Compact size for transport, allows you to use it as a dozer, ideal for compact sites whilst allowing you to get up close to corners and perimeter edges and still retain accuracy.
Twin oversized front mirrors: See both corners clearly and easily along with the material being carried by the box blade.
Curved mouldboard: Rolls material with less effort, reduces segregation.
Adjustable hitch Plate: Sets the grader chassis level on the tool carriers bump stops for precision grading and reduced stress on the carrier machines arms and hydraulic cylinders.
Graduated laser poles: Accurate, quick, simple receiver height adjustment.
Underslung walking beam: Reduces the wheels from scuffing the surface while turning.
No centre pivot: 3 times faster to grade than conventional designs by having the pivots for the blade as close to the ends of the blade as possible, and also stops the blade from duck walking.
Dual blade: Allows you to work going both forwards and backwards, which increases productivity.
SharpGrades are designed and manufactured by Progressive Group in Hamilton, New Zealand
You can fit scarifiers/ripper tines to the SharpGrades to aid with breaking the ground.
Some models in the range can have a hydraulic retract of the front wheel carriage.
The TurfGrader option is an integrated power box rake that mounts on the SharpGrade and allows you to level and rake on grade in either 2D or 3D
The SharpGrade can work in 2D off of a rotary laser that is running at 600 rpm or faster. The rotary laser can be either a simple flat type or either a single or dual grade type to allow you to add in grades to your work.
We have our own QuadGrade machine control system that is plug & play which allows you to operate the SharpGrade in 2D either off of a rotary laser with Moba CLS-3000 receivers or with Moba sonic ski and Moba slope sensor.
We also have 2D and 3D plug & play options that integrate with the Leica iCON range of machine control systems.
If your preference is either Trimble or Topcon, then we can work with them to provide a solution for your grading needs.
There are several options within the SharpGrade range to power scarify the surface.
We have the TurfGrader option for working in conjunction with the SharpGrade grading system.
Then there is the ScapeRake which is a stand alone power rake.
And now available is the PB range that allows you to power rake on grade working with a rotary laser.
A Harley Rake is a powered drum with tungsten carbide picks welded to it that can be hydraulically driven in either direction.
It is used to till & loosen hard or compacted soils and to grade stone from the soil in lawn preparation before seeding.
They can also be used to mill compacted loose stone surfaces like tracks to allow for regrading of the surface.
It does not penetrate very deep, usually, up to 50mm, which is ideal if you want to plane a surface of turf.
